Dhulikhel Mountain Resort is situated 4km beyond Dhulikhel town if you are coming from Kathmandu, just above the village of Khawa. You follow the Arniko Highway towards the Panchkhal Valley and the Tibetan Border, continue downhill 4 km past the main town of Dhulikhel to Khawa, where you will find the resort on the right hand side of the road. Please view our map below for the exact location. GETTING THERE Private Vehicle We will be happy to arrange private transport for you to the resort to and from Kathmandu. Local Bus Local regular buses cost you around 75 rupees and takes around one and a half hours. Head to the old bus park, and ask for a bus heading for Kodari the Nepal/Tibet Border. Dhulikhel is 34 km from Kathmandu. Ask the driver to stop at Khawa, about 4 km beyond Dhulikhel, where you will find our Resort.
Taxi Hire a taxi from Kathmandu, it should cost you around 1500 rupees for a one way trip and takes about an hour.
Mountain Bike From Thamel head to Pashupatinath temple and then cut through the backcountry around Sano Thimi to Bhaktapur. Take the back roads from this anceint city and ride through the country side to Nala and on to Banepa, where you rejoin the Arniko highway and follow it to Dhulikhel. It takes around 3 hours, or more if you stop for sightseeing on the way.
